Abstract
The white clover mosaic virus coat protein gene was successfully introduced into white clover, Trifolium repens L., plants through their cotyledons, mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens. Transgenic plants resistant to Kanamycin were obtained after selection, differentiation and regeneration. All of the transgenic plants were tested by PCR, Southern blot and Northern analysis, which indicated that white clover mosaic virus coat protein gene had integrated into the plant genome and got expressed.
