Abstract
The imterations between artificial vegetable community texture and the searching behavior of the dia-mondback moth (DBM),Plutella xylocella were discussed with chemical ecology association in this paper. The texture implies the individual crucifers density, dispersion, and species richness. An understanding of DBM searching mechanism may be used in current DBM management practice to disign agricultural systems that are less likely to be attacked by this pest.
