    Synthesis and Identification of the Hapten and Complete Antigen of Metronidazole

    • The hapten metronidazole monosuccinate was synthesized by reacting metronidazole and succinic anhydride under microwave heating. Identification using 1^H nuclear magnetic resonance, electrospray ionization mass and infrared spectrum showed the hapten was successfully synthesized. Then active ester method was used to produce complete antigen of metronidazole, which was confirmed by analysis using ultraviolet spectrum.
