    Studies on Ultraviolet Absorption Spectrum of Rotenone in Different Solutions

    • The ultraviolet absorption spectrum of rotenone in methanol, chloroform, ethanol and carbon tetrachloride were studied. It showed that the ultraviolet absorption spectrum of rotenone in different solutions were different. The maximum absorption wavelength of rotenone in methanol, chloroform, ethanol and carbon tetrachloride were at 218.0?294.0?211.0 and 290.0 nm, respectively. In addition, the detect wavelength of rotenone in HPLC, 293.0 nm, was determined.
