Abstract: In this paper,research on the analytic design method to hinged planar mechanisms is reported.Synthesis of path generator for prescribed points lying in a straight line was studied and the numeral result of a correlative example calculated.The tracer generated from the numeral result coincided well with the given line.The calculation method offered in this paper can be further applied to other planar linkage design.
