    Studies on the Changes in Pigment, Phenolic Content and Endogenous Hormones After Debagging of Litchi Fruit

    • Abscisic acid(ABA) in the peel was significantly increased after removing kraft paper bags which decreased the synthesis of phenolic substance with the result that synthesis of phenolic substance and fruit coloration were accelerated. The content of IAA and iPAs increased, and finally exceeded that of the control fruit, while the content of GA 1/3 was relatively low. The changes in endogenous hormones and phenolic substance after removal of adhesivebonded fabric bag treatment which improved coloration was compared to levels during the kraft paper bag treatment. ABA was the key endogenous hormone which adjusted anthocyanin synthesis, while iPAs and GA 1/3 also took part in anthocyanin synthesis. The forming of pigments was the combined result of several endogenous hormones.
